Northumberland Council has quietly increased waste bag tags prices by 50 cents to $4.25. Very little details have been communicated including when it takes effect. The item was not even on the Special Council agenda where the price increase was approved.

The Town of Cobourg has started its budget process and wants to hear from citizens. It has launched a survey on its web site asking for your input. This is the opportunity to let Council know where you want them to spend and not spend your tax dollars.
A Collingwood judicial inquiry found numerous conflicts of interest pointing to the need for the province to plug holes in its laws around municipal politicians’ conflicts of interest.
The 914 page report with 306 recommendations covers unfair bidding practices, unfair procurement practices, conflicts of interest, inaccurate and misleading town council reports, the misuse and inappropriate disclosure of the town’s confidential information.
On Tuesday, October 20,2020 Council received a report from the Town’s CFO: C19 Financial Update #2
Rather than an updated budget, the report outlines a number of changes to the Town’s revenues and expenditures.
