Open Letter to Cobourg Council – 2022 Budget

The Cobourg 2022 operations budget was released on Friday October 22, 2021. This, along with the accelerated budget review/approval schedule, are a welcome improvement over past budget timetables.

There is a serious problem however. The 2021 YTD actual comparative data are as at October 19, 2021 and do not represent a full year of operation’s activity.

Northumberland County Beginning 2022 Budgeting Process

Northumberland County is beginning its 2022 budget consultation August 3. They want to hear from you! How would you invest next year’s County Budget? What programs, services and infrastructure investments matter most to you?

During the Town’s budget review on December 8, 2020, the Art Gallery of Northumberland (AGN) was included as part of the Divisional Staff  Presentations for the 2021 budget meetings.

The Town of Cobourg has started its budget process and wants to hear from citizens. It has launched a survey on its web site asking for your input. This is the opportunity to let Council know where you want them to spend and not spend your tax dollars.

COVID-19 Financial Update #2

On Tuesday, October 20,2020 Council received a report from the Town’s CFO: C19 Financial Update #2

Rather than an updated budget, the report outlines a number of changes to the Town’s revenues and expenditures.
