UPDATE Dec 21, 2022 –
One of the first issues to be decided by our new Council is how to manage storm water in Cobourg and who pays. The proposal is that storm water management should be funded by a separate annual charge rather than being part of our property taxes as is done currently. The charge will be based on the size of each property rather than by how much each property actually contributes to the storm water management problem.
This is an additional tax that will now be paid by Cobourg taxpayers.
Council’s decision will affect all Cobourg residents.

Water Rates to Increase + Storm Water Charge

The storm water fees were approved by Council but agreed to staff review the delegations.
