The Committee for Art in Public Spaces is established for the purpose of providing advice to the Cobourg Municipal Council regarding the selection and display of art in public places in the community. The Committee oversees criteria, application requirements/procedures and public informational material regarding the display of public art in the community for approval by the Cobourg Municipal Council.

Public Art is not included as an eligible Development Charge in the Town of Cobourg. However, Council does set aside $5,000 each year in the annual budget as a reserve fund for this purpose.
