The CTA would like to thank Ian Davey, Cobourg Treasurer and Sally Leblanc, Supervisor of Public Buildings for their initiative and extra hard work to save taxpayers $10,000 in replacing the Victoria Hall chiller tower platform. Initially there was only one bid of about $40,000 but Ian was not willing to accept the excessive amount quoted. He worked with Sally Leblanc to find a local vendor who was able to design and fabricate a railing system for $30,000. We acknowledge and celebrate their resourceful thinking. Way to go!!!
