Council voted unanimously to keep the beach closed until August 31, 2020. Council heard from citizens overwhelmingly to keep the beach closed. The logistics and cost of opening the beach without endangering the safety of beach goers and town employees were too great.
Council made the only rational decision they could under the circumstances.The safety and well being of everyone comes first.
